David brings more than forty years of client-centered experience working closely in a variety of settings and capacities including business and professional development, coaching, consulting, and counseling. Through his assistance, people heal and become empowered and organizations more easily transition, transform and prosper.
David’s business experience includes more than 10 years combined experience with the former “Big Eight”, now “Big Four”, international management consulting and accounting firms. He was instrumental in providing strategic consulting for a wide variety of clients and industries in the Dallas, Texas office of KPMG. As co-creator of the Strategic Management Services practice in the Dallas office he worked closely with small, emerging and medium-sized businesses.
David also served KPMG in the firm’s Executive Offices working directly with the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, and the global partners of consulting. He assisted in the development of specialized consulting practices, and professional development for the global Mergers & Acquisition Network.
David was recruited into Arthur Andersen & Co., another former “Big Eight” Firm. He assisted with the growth of Arthur Andersen’s emerging consulting practice and coordinated consulting with Andersen Consulting (Accenture) in the Dallas,Texas offices. He directly supported the Global Practice Partners within each organization. He was responsible for establishing consulting practice standards and practice development. He provided consulting services directly to clients throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Asia.
David founded, raised capital and operated several of his own companies in the services sector in the areas of consulting, coaching, executive and professional recruiting, corporate financial advisory, health care and medical recruitment, clinical practice, and the HVAC and home services trades.
He holds dozens of specialty certifications. He is Internationally Board Certified and possesses years of experience as a Master NLP Practitioner, Clinical and Medical Hypnotist, Master Hypnotist, Hypnotherapist, Conversational Hypnotherapist, Quantum Touch® Practitioner, Usui Reiki Master, PSTEC ™ Master Practitioner, Smoking Cessation Specialist, Hypnotic Pain Control Practitioner, PTSI Hypnotic Practitioner, Virtual Gastric Band™ Practitioner, and many other areas of specialization.
Dr. Blender hosted “Minding Your Business: Living Life Beyond Invisible Barriers” a global radio show which aired on the VoiceAmerica ™ Network Variety Channel.
He graduated with a B.B.A. degree in Business Management, and a B.S. degree in Sociology from Southern Methodist University. He also graduated with a Masters MSc in Humanistic Science and Counseling, and a PhD in Philosophy, both with honors summa cum laude.
David has been invited as a guest speaker to various associations and institutions of higher education and learning. He has also served as advisor and Board member to emerging businesses.
